Andrew Spagrud: Canada West all-time basketball scoring leader shines in Czech Republic
EDMONTON - Canada West all-time scoring leader Andrew Spagrud, who scored 2,182 career points and had over 1,000 rebounds in five Canada West seasons with the Saskatchewan Huskies averaged 13.5 points, 7.3 rebounds with NH Ostrava of the Czech Republic Basketball League.
EDMONTON - Canada West all-time scoring leader Andrew Spagrud, who scored 2,182 career points and had over 1,000 rebounds in five Canada West seasons with the Saskatchewan Huskies (2003-08), averaged 13.5 points, 7.3 rebounds with NH Ostrava of the Czech Republic Basketball League in 2010-11.
Spagrud had six double-doubles, with a high of 21 points, for the season that ended on May 6th.
In 2009-10, Spagrud played for the Sundsvall Dragons of the Swedish League.
Spagrud was a four-time CIS All-Canadian, 2004-05 Canada West Most Valuable Player and won CIS Rookie of the Year honours in 2003-04.
