“With it being the first time the event is hosted in North America, we weren't sure what to expect in terms of participation numbers. These numbers exceed our expectations, and we’re pleased to know the rest of the world is as excited as we are to host and compete here in Canada.”
Dan Bechard - Chair, 2026 FISU World University Championships - Rowing
“We’re thrilled to welcome the global student rowing community to London, Ontario, Canada for this championship event. The number of countries that have expressed interest in attending has been exciting and the impact of having international visitors in London for a full week of training and competing will be significant. We look forward to working with our partners at Western University, Upper Thames Conservation Area, USPORTS and across the community to showcase what makes London and Canada such an incredible place to visit, host and compete.”
