CBU men’s soccer team forfeits six games due to use of ineligible student-athletes
U SPORTS has ordered the forfeiture of six regular season games by the Cape Breton University men’s soccer team after the Capers were found to have played two ineligible student-athletes.
As per U SPORTS policies, a discipline panel was convened after receiving a complaint and determined the institution was in violation of eligibility regulations and applied the automatic sanction of forfeiture of all games in which the student-athletes participated.
As a result, four (4) victories and two (2) draws are now recorded as 0-3 losses.
